On Sept. 14, 2009 I was backing up in a parking lot, to let another vehicle pass. My car suddenly began moving backward very rapidly and smashing into others vehicles and a child. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance because my neck was hurting. I did not receive a ticket from the attending police officer, as she did not feel I did anything negligent. The car was totaled by my insurance company.
Model: Toyota Camry year: 2000 problem: Brake shivers or shudders when applied. It happens all the time. The car does not come to a stop as soon as the brake is applied. In fact, the car moves some distance and comes to a stop. Resolution: Change parts of the brake (ever since I bought the vehicle). This has been at least 10 times. The dealer says that it is because of how the brake is applied. I disagree. I have a Honda-CRV 2000 model and this does not have any problem with the brakes.
