The contact owns a 1999 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the shift lever failed to shift into gear without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the shifter cable needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 180,000.
The gas pedal sticks, as if it is rubbing against something about 1/3 the way down pressed. This happens intermittent and can't figure out when or why and it is not the floormat. The vehicle has over 100,000 miles on it. If you tap it, when it sticks, it will come unstuck. I believed the car was getting old, my car, but now my wife complains it happens to her when she drives it.
