1996 Camry LE experiencing random massive acceleration. Original diagnosis was floor mat. Floor mats removed. Problem resurfaced. General mechanic diagnosis ($90). No trouble found. Taking to Original Toyota dealership for assistance. Minimum cost to diagnose :$110 initial inspection, $80 for first hour of labor. This car has been meticulously maintained with oil changes every 3500 miles standard mileage recommendations done. 275K+ miles. Car passed down to youngest son but thinking of scrapping the car since this is an incredible safety hazard. Current owner of 2010 Camry, 2012 Highlander.
