My car is hard to steer when I go around curves on the street of the mountains where I live. It feels as if I could drive right off of the mountain if I don't quickly correct the steering. It is as though it is slipping and accelerating as if I am losing control of the car. It is a frightening feeling as if it is pulling against what I am trying to do, such as turning the steering wheel to make it around curves safely.
Car has been swerving violently around curved roads. The alignment was thrown out of specification by broken coil springs. All other components such as ball joints tie rods wheel bearings... were found to be within spec. Coil springs were both found broken, and unevenly. One coil was missing more coils than the other. If the coils had broken in a different place or there had been traffic a fatal collision could have occurred.
