I have replaced 4 driver side and 5 passenger side low beam headlights in my 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid which I purchased new. Sometimes both lights go out at once, very annoying and scary driving on the PA Turnpike and no low beams. The high beams still worked, fortunately. The loss of both happened twice. After the second occurrence Freedom Toyota of Hamburg, PA switched some wires around and put dielectric grease on the O-rings. The last two times I made a note of the weather conditions and both times it was raining.
After complaining to Toyota during an inspection yesterday, the gentleman offered a 1year warranty on the bulb they just replaced. He claimed that there was a fingerprint on the burned out bulb. All bulbs were replaced by a garage mechanic although not always at a Toyota dealer, which is a half hour drive from my home. I feel compelled to carry two spare light bulbs with me at all times although I have a mechanic install them. Having two bulbs go out at the same time is not a pleasant experience. I hope this helps me find a remedy for this dilemma.
