About 40,000 miles, I noticed what looked like a crack in the driver's seat. As time has gone on, the crack has become a tear with more tears around it. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the driver's seat wasn't even made like the passenger's seat or any of the other seats in my car. It doesn't even feel like leather, as the other seats do. It just feels like a hard plastic. I bought the car new, I weigh 120 pounds so it's not like I weigh enough to break the seat down, nor has anyone else who has been heavy, broken down the seat. I've put 75,000 of the 79,000 miles on it. I use leather cleaner on it and it gets a regular cleaning and conditioning, just like the other seats. My daughter has a 2008 Hybrid Highlander with 210,000 miles on it, my mom has a 2010 Prius with 150,000, I had a 2002 Sequoia that had 130,000 miles on it and none of these seats have ever had an issue. They are all leather seats. I'm not sure if the seats were switched out since they don't match or if I ended up with a dud or if anyone else has had a problem with the driver's seat. You can see from the pictures I included that the front and passenger's seat are made different. Is everyone else's front and driver's seats made differently?
