The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Avalon. While driving various speeds in stop and go traffic, the accelerator pedal was applied, but the vehicle hesitated and spontaneously accelerated. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Toyota of cedar park (5600 183A, leander, tx 78641, (512) 379-7575) where it was diagnosed that the software needed to be updated, but stated that the vehicle was performing as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 1904010349. The manufacturer advised the contact to call the local dealer. The failure mileage was 3,500.
