When I purchased the car June 13 2010, discussed the problem with Buena Park Toyota which they claimed there was no problem. Each time I have the car service mentioned the noise in the steering column and harsh feel in the steering which they claimed they couldn't find or feel anything with the steering.
Took the car in for service at the end of June 2014 and the same results, couldn't find anything during that service time concerning the steering column. Took the car up to Victorville Ca. for visit June 30 2014 and during my return home on July 2 2014 the Engine Light came on and tracking light before coming down the pass on the 15 freeway. I thank God that the warning lights came on before coming down the pass from Victorville as that is a steep climb down the hill and if the steering column gave out it could of killed my whole family.
To my understanding there was a notice given to Toyota concerning this problem which was confirmed by Valley Hi Toyota. This problem was addressed from June 2010 to June 2014 with no resolve until a engine light and Tracking light came on to Warn the issue with the above problem. Thanks J.JONES
