passenger air bag sensor light remains off when seatbelt on
I contacted southeast Toyota where the recall originated from and the manufacturer of my vehicle. They informed me that my vehicle was not covered under the recall cause my Vin number was not included. This is a real safety concern.Even though the year and model is under recall my vehicle don't qualify cause of the vin number? My vehicle is experiencing the same problems. The airbag sensor light remains off when seatbelt is fastened in the passenger seat. Which means it's not detecting that someone is in the passenger seat. A dangerous consequence and safety concern because if an accident occur the air bags may not deploy or worse they can deploy unexpectedly with no accident possibly injuring or killing my passenger. I pray that toyota take this into consideration as I will be reporting this as well to Center for Auto Safety.
