Avalon Limited V6

2009 Toyota Avalon lights go off consistently while driving at night. This poses a public safety risk me other drivers and for myself. I have had both lights changed several times before I investigated the problem. This poses and even greater challenge for me at night as an African American man with our current, climate in America which has on several occasions had officers who were very fair to stop me because of this lighting issue. Toyota needs to fix this issue; I and my family feel unsafe and we believe ours and other lives could be at risk.

Avalon Limited 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,488 miles

OUR 2009 TOYOTA AVALON FRONT HEADLIGHT, DRIVER'S SIDE SHUTS OFF ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER THE CAR IS TURNED ON. IF YOU TURN THE LIGHTS OFF AND THEN BACK ON, THE LIGHT COMES BACK ON.. IT MAY OR MAY NOT STAY ON. WE HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT FIXED YET AS WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD COST $600-800. WE HAVE 38,488 MILES ON THE CAR. IT IS NOT CONSISTENT, YOU DON'T KNOW WHEN IT WILL OCCUR, BUT IF IT DOES IT USUALLY GOES OFF 10-15 MIN AFTER STARTING THE CAR.

WE HAVE NOTICED THIS MANY TIMES NOW SINCE WE FIRST NOTICED IT APPROXIMATELY 5 MONTHS AGO.
