The problem started Wednesday, March 18. we were driving to the store, when this odor comes from the air vents. I thought it was the truck in front of me. I got home and pulled into the garage. When I looked at the driveway, I see this trail of oil following me into the driveway. My wife looks under the car and sees this puddle of oil. We immediately take it to the Toyota dealership, and were told about the mounting problem Avalon 2006 owners were experiencing with a ruptured oil line. I was told there would be about a 20 to 30 day wait for the parts to get in. Luckily, I was told that the car was still under warranty, and Toyota would foot the bill, and will provide a rental for me. I am upset that Toyota knows about this nationwide problem, and refuses to issue a recall. This will weigh heavily on my mind. When it comes time for a new car, TOYOTA will NOT be on my list!!
