The headlight dimmer switch intermittently fails to dim the headlamps when returned to the low beam setting. This failure substantially impairs the vision of oncoming drivers.
Inadequate forward illumination of roadway at night with low beams on auto-leveling/adjusting headlights adjust to a setting too low to project adequate light to safely operate the vehicle causing an accident to occur on poorly lit and marked road (each of these elements contributed to the accident). Accident caused approx $3500 damage to tires, rims, steering assemble and undercarriage.
