I have to say that, if you can, you should buy a no official cruise control for your Toyota. The one that provides Toyota is probably the worst of the market.
I have a Toyota Auris and I am very disappointed with the cruise control. It is the most inaccurate of the cruise controls that I have ever tried. It is very dangerous because when you set the speed this could change within a range of 10 km/h (6,2 Mph) so you can have problems with police, radars or even have a crash as your car could accelerate in the wrong moment or reduce when you are passing another car.
My suggestion is try to avoid Toyota cruise control. In addition you can not know what speed you set until you are in a plane road for a while and you see the car keeps the same speed.
This also has other problem, the consumption increases a lot with this system as when the mountain starts your car loses all the speed (the 6.2 Mph that I said) accumulated going down and has to recuperate it and increase it going up.
