So disappointed at my first buying experience with Toyota. I’ve dreamed of a Toyota 4 Runner 4x4 Off Road!
It was everything I hoped for until…the rats ate the wiring harness and did so much damage in so little time. Less than 45 days from purchase the entire engine harness was destroyed.
The class action lawsuit filed in 2018 says Toyota manufactures the wires with a tasty soy based wire rats think is food. It must be true because the other cars we have (2002 Avalanche, 2006 Saturn Vue, 1998 Camry, 2019 Ram 1500, 2019 Honda CRV) parked in and around the exact same area for 20+ years have never experienced this type of damage. Lived in the same home for 32 years. The salesperson said it was a Rumor.
It was a lease so I sent it back to Toyota.
