This is my second 4Runner. I drove 2 hours each way to purchase it new in 2013 because there wasn't one in inventory locally. I had had a 2000 that I had driven to 215,000 miles with very few problems. within the first two years the driver's door automatic locks stopped working. I took it to the local Toyota dealership where I was told that the lock actuator was bad. It would need to be replaced... $650. This repair was not covered under warranty because I had too many miles on my car (I'm in sales and drive a lot).

One by one, all three of the passenger locks have gone out. Now, The only lock that works as it should is the driver's door, which was repaired. I cannot afford to spend $2000 to fix this issue. It is an absolute hassle whenever I have someone else in the car!!

This is clearly a defective part! I see where others around the country have had the same problem. I am so disappointed in Toyota for not making this right. A person should not have these types of problems in a car that costs this much! I will never again recommend Toyota.

This part should be recalled and replaced. If Toyota cared about their customers and the quality of their products they would make this right!!
