Takata inflator ; the remedy or fix is taking too long. I have a nephew with a sequoia and he said his was fixed already..I have had numerous inquiries from dealer wanting me to trade up. Why would dealer want mine unless they could fix and sell quickly. This does not pass the smell test.
Takata recall. This recalled was published on 9 January 2017 and it still shows a status of "incomplete with a remedy not yet available". yet, there is a safety risk of serious injury or death. I have contacted my local service dealer and the only recommendation is that we not use the front passenger seat. This is virtually impossible if you have a family. We are also of transferring to europe on military orders in June and haven't heard back from them. If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA.

I received a notice that the front passenger airbag in my 2012 Toyota 4runner has been recalled. When I called the dealership they referred me to Toyota customer care. Customer care said that they are not expecting a solution until December 2017 and that I'm not supposed to have anyone sit in the front seat until it is replaced. When I asked about an equivalent rental for the next 8 months they referred me back to the dealership. The dealership does not offer an equivalent rental. This is very frustrating since I would never drive or purchase the rentals available to me through Toyota. At this point I would like to know what the buy back program is for my unsafe vehicle.

Takata recall- I have received notice of the airbag recall, but a remedy is not yet available. It states, "we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat." We are a family of 6, so this is not an option for us. Toyota has known about this issue since 2013 but is just now recalling. I am paying $650 a month for a vehicle that, per this letter, I cannot make full use of.

Takata recall-our 4runner has been judged unsafe to drive and Toyota has not yet offered an eta for the required repairs while every other brand affected by the recall has either provided repairs to their owners or reached out to schedule them. I have contacted Toyota by E-mail and phone only to be advised a remedy was not yet available with no eta projected. No mishap involving this vehicle yet.

Takata recall. I purchased my 2012 4runner in June 2016. I was not notified there was a recall (no. 16V-340) for the takata air bag on the front passenger side. I have since received recall #17V-006. I thought it was not lawful for a dealer to sell a vehicle under recall without notifying the new owner. I was not notified of the takata recall, or I would not have purchased the vehicle. Do I have any recourse?
