This is a very common issue on these vehicles. The driver seat weight sensor has completely failed meaning it does not detect when someone is sitting in the driver's seat. This results in the car randomly putting itself in park to "prevent rollaway," the screen randomly turning off as it thinks nobody is in the car, the phone not automatically connecting to Bluetooth, as well as some other minor symptoms. I'm hoping this will be covered under warranty, will update once I know more from Tesla.
Update from Aug 29, 2024: Update - the issue was fixed under warranty and the service center was extremely helpful.
