It started a year ago when you put fuel in the car the car computer would take over and keep the car cranking through a cycle. I finally learned to push the gas down a little bit and it finally would start. In between fill ups, no problem starting.

Then in January 2020 after an 8 degree night, in the morning the car would not start or warm up. Had it towed to the mechanic, tested low fuel pressure. They bought a used fuel pump as new ones cost $1300-1500 - the pressure went up to 65 lbs. The cylinders would not hold more than 25 lbs, so the mechanic put oil in cylinders - they finally came up and held 150 lbs. Codes showed bad cam sensors and we replaced bad crank sensors, and a bad mass air sensor was replaced.

They got the computer back and the car started and ran for 30 minutes and smoked due to oil in cylinders but the mechanic put it in reverse and the car stopped and would not start. He pushed it out of the garage to get out of his garage and it sat for a couple days. I went to pull home, I got in it and started. The fuel was low so I drove home, and after two days went up and filled up the tank.

I went to start did exactly what it had done for a year after refueling but this time I had to hold the pedal to the floor. After three tries it started so I drove it home and now has been in the driveway for three weeks. Then I did more reading and found the purge valve may be the problem. I changed it with no difference.

My son and I pushed the car in the garage and removed the intake manifold and pulled out fuel rail and injectors, then ran test with alligator clips and brake cleaner. The first one was somewhat clogged and we cleaned it up, to the sixth which is bad and would not clean out. so I ordered new injector and also new spark plugs were installed. I’m waiting on the injector to come to put back together and decided to replace the water temp sensor while I was at it. 4/9/2020 is where I'm at. Any other ideas?
