Check engine light came on and dealer said that it was a defective camshaft. Work on engine consisted of changing camshaft and rocker arms. Dealer said that he has seen this problem on a few other 2007 Suzuki Xl7S. The problem is rust on the interior of the engine caused by the manner in which they are shipped across Canada. Apparently, a valve cover is left off so a bar code can be viewed while in Transport. This may be a serious problem if the vehicle suddenly loses power and turns off due to rust.
