wheels not handling road salt, car washes

I feel Suzuki is providing false advertising! Commercials show the cars being able to handle elements...you would think the wheels would be able to handle road salt and car washes. But nope, chrome wheels look horrible now and Suzuki says the problem is chemical and won't take care of the problem. Their warranty isn't all it's cracked up to be. I bought a brand new car, and liked it until the wheels started looking horrible. Now my car looks awful! I am so mad, I will never buy a car from Suzuki again. I hope the same problem doesn't happen to my friend who also bought this car just a different version.
