The vehicle goes in the limp mode while accelerating uphill. At one occasion it went into the limp mode and stalled, very unsafe for highway. Turing it off and restarting needed. The transmission has issues that hasn't been addressed by the manufacturer.

Transmission control module (tcm) for the cvt, the tcm may detect an abnormality in the cvt pulley ratio under as a result of the unusual movement of the stepper motor. The malfunction indicator light (mil) may illuminate and the cvt could go into a fail safe mode resulting in the vehicle losing acceleration. Contacted the Suzuki corporation and they state my VIN is not showing this recall however, the vehicle is doing the exact same thing. Recall notice has been out for this exact year, make and model of this vehicle, but denies that it's for this vehicle. While driving on the highway this vehicle went into like a safety type mode and would not accelerate, and the vehicle will not exit the fail safe mode and needs dealership attention. I almost died on the highway from this issue.

The car has on numerous occasions while traveling at highway cruising speed on a sunny day will go into a failsafe mode, and no error is detected by the car, loses the ability to downshift, and loses acceleration. Has become a reoccurring issue on all long trips as the car must be on the road over an hour before the instance will occur. Almost always when in the middle of nowhere which causes driver to have to pull over and wait for the car to cool before the car will allow itself or the driver to downshift even in automatic or manu-matic configuration. Please issue the same recall for the 2010 that you did for the 2013. I have a video of the instance occurring if needed.

At hi way speed the cvt enters limp mode. You can not accelerate. The vehicle drops in speed and you must pull over and shut the car off. This has happened three times. We do drive mostly hi way and feel like this is dangerous. We also own a 2013 same make and model. We did receive a recall on it. The 2010 vehicle was manufactured on 10/23/2010. Please investigate for us as we are in fear of being a helpless situation. The date that I entered was the last episode that we had with vehicle.the two previous episodes also happens at that same speed.

In the past 13 months I have had to have a engine replacement in which the vehicle was pouring carbon monoxide into the car, I went to pick the vehicle up after being repaired for over a month at the Suzuki dealership in charlotte, nc. I drove the car approximately 1.5 miles away where the vehicle cut off as I was making a turn into a busy intersection leaving me stranded in the middle of traffic. After several more weeks of being at the dealership I left with a new transmission along with the new motor. 6 weeks later the transmission broke down again when I was driving down the interstate with my daughter in the car. The transmission was replaced at a Suzuki dealership in hickory, nc. I was able to drive the car for 6 more weeks when the vehicle broke down for a third time while I was driving through a busy intersection. None of these break downs have resulted in an accident but I fear the trouble with this car is endangering my life and my child's life. I have had a Suzuki engine expert from the hickory service center look at my car and he can not figure out why the vehicle continues to breakdown the last time the transmission was replaced in January of 2014 I had to replace the front tires I was told an alignment was needed because the car was destroying in the inner side of my front tires. I have had two alignments and a whole new set of tires on the front of my car and again I am needing to replace them and no one can tell me why this is happening just that this car is problematic. I fear that I have exhausted all other resources I was sold a lemon and if I had purchased the vehicle new Suzuki would of been obligated to replace this vehicle under lemon law but because I purchased this vehicle used. I purchased something that I feel could endanger my child or myself.
