Suzuki claims they sent me a letter 1/9/09 concerning this potential problem of rust corrosion (never rec'd. letter). Driving to work on 8/17/10 car was pulling to the right and making god awful noise had to slow down to 15 mph. Got to work and called Busam Suzuki and asked if they could come and get it and they said no they didn't do that so since I work and Mike Albert Leasing and we have a service department I decided I was not going to drive it any further than that I asked them to come and get it. They came and got it and put it on the lift and discovered that the crossmember was completed rusted out and the left wheel was completed detached from the frame. They replaced the part and had a front end alignment done so I contacted Suzuki. Suzuki informed me to send them the bill, have a Suzuki dealer inspect it and they would decide if they would reimburse me.
Well they called yesterday and told me that they are not going to reimburse me because 1) they sent me a letter 1/9/09 and I did not do anything about having it inspected so my warranty expired 2/10 (never rec'd a letter) 2) part number is not correct number cover by the campaign (can't help it if Suzuki dealer gave wrong part number and 3) GOT TO LOVE THIS ONE, because I DID NOT TAKE IT TO A SUZUKI DEALER FOR THE REPAIR. I asked them how in the hell was I suppose to take it to a Suzuki dealer with the wheel completed detached from the frame and they told me it was only 10 miles from where I was and I was able to get it to Mike Albert. I had to remind them for the umpteenth time I WORK AT MIKE ALBERT LEASING AND I COULD THROW A ROCK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They said it didn't matter I still didn't take it to a Suzuki dealer.
So bottom line is I guess they would have rather had me drive it to one and kill myself and some else then get it fixed where it was. THIS IS NOT OVER!!!
