The contact owns a 2006 Suzuki Forenza. While stopped at an intersection, the contact's vehicle was rear ended. He was wearing his seat belt; however, it failed to retract into the locked position. As a result, he struck the steering wheel and sustained moderate to severe head injuries. The police arrived and a report was filed. The dealer and manufacturer were unable to assist. The seat belt was repaired before and after the crash under NHTSA campaign id number 07V315000 (seat belts:front:buckle assembly). The total estimated repair cost is $3,000.
