THE FIRST DAY took car for test drive with the salesman, low tire pressure light came on. Got back to the dealership and air was whizzing out of back tire. They had to put on a new tire "slash in the sidewall". 3months later it happened again "piece of metal" cut sidewall and I had to pay over $250 for a new tire!. So I was told LOTS of people in Chattanooga, TN reported flat tires from nails, metal, scraps/debris on the roads (construction/recycling, crap) don't remember running over anything! and the salesman said the same thing!!
Cheap tires on the new car only 40,000 miles treadwear, then replaced w better tires 75,000 miles with warranty!. Oh by the way no spare in the Crosstrek new cars they give you a can of fix a flat and small air pump. The 1-800- wrecker or towtruck cannot be called to Northern Maine Woods where there is no cell phone service to rescue us... so glad we didn't have a flat tire on the dirt/back roads to Pittston Farm north of Moosehead Lake Maine. Sh*t out of luck, up a creek without a paddle if you know what I mean. The all wheel drive is good in the snow, but not if you have a flat or worn tires.
