I took it to John Hines Subaru Temecula and they agreed it was not shifting properly. The repaired it at no charge. It is now November and I'm having the same problem. I will call the Monday morning and complain once more.

When shifting into Drive there is around a 3 second pause before it finally shifts into drive. This problem seems even worse when shifting from reverse to drive. Very annoying and no one including the dealership seems to have an answer. They have been using this transmission in other cars for awhile. I imagine eventually they will release a software update that will fix the issue. The transmission itself works fine. Just the pause is extremely annoying.
