Subaru reports fuel mileage of up to 33 MPG for the highway. This is not what people are getting under real life driving conditions. Your actual fuel mileage will be 20% less than Subaru's claims. Remember, it is the auto maker that does the testing and reporting. Please keep in mind that several car makers have already been caught reporting unrealistic numbers.
If you are driving the Interstate in Kansas, you can realistically expect fuel mileage under 24 mpg. You will not get the 33 mpg as claimed by Subaru.
Over 200 owners have reported mileage of less than 28 mpg.
