I have to replace the motor for $13,000, which is about what I owe on the vehicle

I had oil consumption issues the whole life of the car from 30k miles when I got it certified pre owned until now 140k miles. Subaru always said this "was under acceptable oil consumption " through their tests. It was always anywhere from half a quart to 1 and a half quarts lost every 3k miles. Ultimately lead to this and of course I am outside of warranty.
