Outback Premium 2.4L

The passenger side window stopped in half way when I tried to scroll it up. Actually, the window will first go up all the way and then came down and stopped in half way. Initially, it did not happen frequently. I did have dealership check the issue and they found nothing wrong. After 6 months, the issue occurred almost every time I tried to close the window. Then the dealership fixed the issue somehow.

Outback Limited 2.5i

  • Automatic transmission

As soon as my warranty ended (as in the same month) my passenger side front window is glitching. I click the button for the window to go up and it goes up and then bounces or immediately starts to go down again. It will not stay up! I have to inch it up and then quickly turn the car off so that it stops going down. Very frustrating.

The window on the passenger side started to malfunction 6 months after getting the car- and I do not have other passengers in the car regularly! The window would go up and then once reaching the top, it would go back down and get stuck at the half way mark. It would do this continually. It didn't make a difference if the passenger control or driver control was being used. And then I'd have to use the power window control to stop it before it reached the top to prevent this problem; leaving the window partially open- a real pain when it was raining! The railing was replaced. Then a few months later it happened again. I brought the car back to the dealer- that day, it only did it once for the dealer. They however replaced it since the tech had seen it. Then a few months later I brought it in again for multiple electrical issues. The power mechanism in the driver door was replaced this time along with the window railing. It malfunctioned before I could pick the car up - during the week they had it so replaced x 3!

Outback 25i Premium 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

The battery died because the key was left in the ignition in the off position. Eventually we had to buy a new battery but a side affect of this is the driver side control of the front passenger window will not work. dealership-100 miles away-took them 5 minutes to reset the window. Very annoying.
