Left dealership with a full tank. Three days later, it read 1/2 tank, so decided to fill it up. And I did. After the fill, I turned the key over and the gauges initialized. At this point, the fuel gauge moved the E and the check engine light came on. As I drove over the next few days, the fuel gauge moved from E towards F. Weird.
I took it to the dealer and they replaced a sensor or two. I most likely "topped it off" after the auto shutoff. They are telling me this was the cause of the problem and that the gauge would "reset" itself. Maybe, but this not a response one would expect. What's next - can't sneeze in the car else the radio shuts off.
This is the first of two problems. The car now has 6000 miles after two months-ish of driving. Recently, the car would not start after a fill-up. I took the key out of the ignition and put it back in and it did turn over this second time. This behavior is more than a bit concerning. I've owned Honda's for years and never had any issues. I hear all Japanese manufactures are slipping in quality, but this is crazy. My first and last Subaru. Hope I don't get stranded before its paid off.
Avoid this model until they get it together.
