Within 5 weeks of each other, a rodent has chewed through the wiring bundle to the low oil pressure sensor and fog lights of my 2016 Outback. Both were $500 repairs. The first was at about 1000 miles on the car. If the bundle has to be replaced, it is a $1350 repair. Subaru says not their problem. The dealer states this is not uncommon on cars coming out of the mountains in Colorado. Their recommended fix is to stuff bounce sheets into the engine compartment. Hopefully this won't result in a fire. This is rather ridiculous given that Subaru markets the car as an outdoor activity transporter.
The fix should be to shield the bundle AT SUBARU'S EXPENSE.
