Called Subaru Roadside assistance at 8:15am when my 2015 Outback failed to start after a 5 minute trip to drop off my son. I waited on the phone for 20 minutes in -5 degree weather to talk to someone. Once I had them on the phone they told me they would have someone at my location in 30 mins. They texted me the contact info. I returned to the car at the stated time and waited for another 30mins. I attempted multiple times to contact Subaru Roadside and the tow company they texted to me, to no avail.
I called AAA. They came in 10 mins and jumped me. I still have no idea if Subaru Roadside ever showed up. I called Subaru of America and complained- I got a lame apology call at 1pm and was told that they would "tell their manager" which means that I wasn't rude or mad enough to have anything happen. Will never call Roadside Assistance again, and while it's technically "free" we're paying for it somewhere in our car. Worthless.
