Purchased new Outback Limited in March 2015 and already had 1 recall and trouble all winter starting car all winter when temps dipped to freezing. At around 7,000 miles the gas tank door got harder and harder to open. I would flip the switch to open gas tank next to drivers seat but door would only partially open. It finally got to the point I had to pry it open with a credit card until finally it would not open at all so I could not put gas in the tank. Took car to dealership where I purchased car and they said the wrong assembly was used in manufacturing. They replaced the fuel door cup saucer assembly and issue was resolved. This is the start of a long list of problems (besides recalls) that starting at manufacturing plant that have convinced me to not buy another Subaru.
The gas cover got more difficult to open and eventually I could not open cover to put gasoline in my car. Subaru replaced the fuel door cup saucer assembly and problem was fixed.
