When my car is at a complete stop and I step on the gas, intermittently it will hesitate and not do anything, then after more than a full second it will slowly take off. I just dropped it off today 10/9/14 at Stohlman's Subaru of Tysons, VA, and am concerned that they will not even look at it as the mechanic tried telling me that this is normal operation. This is not normal operation, this is VERY UNSAFE.

It also happens while in the middle of a turn. I found out the hard way. I was an a two lane one way street and went to turn off to a side street on the left, I yielded for a few cars and then stepped on the gas and got stuck in the middle of the road and was hit by another vehicle. I was charged with the accident and failure to yield but It was because of the hesitation in the motor. This is VERY UNSAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the car hesitates when accelerating could be the gas but the engine doesnt rev up when you step on the gas, so it could be in the transmission. It only does it when you make a turn or when your stopped, then try to take off. this is hazardous if somebody is coming at you. I am experiencing a 5-10 second hesitation when depressing the gas pedal. This happens when I slow right down to take a corner or just to stop and start again. For a short time nothing happens when the gas pedal is depressed or pumped (the engine is still running) then it leaps forward. When this first happened I had no idea what was going on and in a heavy traffic situation or a crowded parking lot I consider it quite dangerous. This is happening with a new 2014 3.6 Outback with less than 1,000 kms on it. The service manager at the dealership says he can do nothing for me unless the problem recurs while I am there. This is very frustrating because the problem is intermittent and the dealership is 200 kms away.
