I have found many complaints online about the CVT transmissions failing around 100,000 miles. I just hit 109,000 miles. I have only owned the car for 5 years and am very frustrated. I took it to a transmission place and they verified the issue and said it would cost me between $4000 - $5000 if they did it and they would have to order a used transmission and have it towed to Subaru afterward so that they could reprogram the car. I am very discouraged. The whole reason I went with a Subaru was for the longevity. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions?
