The contact owns a 2012 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that the cruise control switch malfunctioned. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 10 and the current mileage was 21,000. Updated 10/7/14 the consumer stated when the cruise control is set and the vehicle is traveling faster than the set point, upon selecting resume the vehicle will reset to the current speed. The driver expected the vehicle to decelerate to the originally set speed. Updated 3/25/2015
