The car showed an overheating light flashing. Had to tow for $175. Replaced thermostat and water pump. AC not working. Just blowing normal air. The heater working though. Needs another $600 to replace the AC unit. Not going to invest any more money on this car as it already cost me almost $1000 in the last 30 days. Will sell it as it is.

The radiator hose came off right in the middle of the interstate while driving. The radiator blew because of the extreme pressure inside the cooling system. There is a leak in the engine head gasket and exhaust gas is getting in the coolant system. Meanwhile, coolant is overflowing from the reservoir to make space for the gas in the radiator. Had to replace the radiator which cost me $576.79. Applied some head gasket sealer for now as replacing the head gasket would cost around $2000

Car has been regularly serviced since new. Out of the blue got an over-temp light on the dash one morning and when pulled over the coolant was puking out of the overflow bottle. Had it towed to dealership for repair. They initially diagnosed with a "bad radiator" but when questioned could not provide a reason by the radiator was actually bad, i.e. leaking, failed pressure test, etc.

I pushed for them to do additional testing such as the exhaust gas in coolant test as I have learned that the 2.5 engines have had a host of head gasket issues which push exhaust into the coolant. Dealer charged additional $150 for testing which could not produce a problem. Car has been at dealership almost two weeks at this point with them finally giving in and changing the head gaskets due to constantly overheating while testing even with new radiator.

After being resistant to multiple suggestions that the head gaskets were the original problem, they finally admitted that this is an issue. They still have the car and have no loaner or rentals available. Car has 86,000 miles but has been impeccably serviced since new in 2011. Don't have much faith in this dealership repairing issue completely.
