I was parked. With my foot on the brake I shifted into reverse, the accelerator stuck and the lurched backward about 1.5 car lengths, hit a parking pole, I shifted the car into drive, again with my foot on the break and the cars accelerator stuck again and lurched forward 1.5+ car lengths and struck a tree while I was stomping on the break as hard as possible. The car was totaled and there was no way to prove it.

Lyft had a $2,500 deductible, there was approximately $8,000 damage to the car so they totaled it which there valuation was bout $2,000 low so it cost me dearly there were no injuries so I guess I was lucky... It could have been worse. With a long list off expensive repairs ($7,000 in the last 6 months alone) has left a bad taste in my mouth concerning Subaru. I will not buy another one.
