While driving on the highway back from work, I noticed the hood beginning to wobble without having been released manually. I was traveling at approximately 65-70mph. This is the second time I've noticed this issue and am increasingly alarmed. The primary latch seems to release randomly at higher speeds. Luckily the secondary latch held long enough for me to pull over and secure the hood. I'll be taking this in to my mechanic soon to avoid a potential accident, although previous comments on this issue lead me to believe that the mechanic won't have much of a solution. This makes me quite frustrated that there hasn't been a safety recall from Subaru.
