When we tried to drive the car on this past Tuesday, the check engine light came on. There was no response from the accelerator pedal. The engine was turning at almost 2,000 rpm's and would not idle down. The brakes worked hard to stop the car and the cruise control light was blinking. The car would only travel at 15 mph and there was no control over its speed. This means the car is completely uncontrollable. There was no warning that there were any problems with the car because the last time we drove the car before this Tuesday it ran fine and performed as it should. This is dangerous because you can lose control of the car in an instant with no prior warning.
