I am a 25 year, Loyal to the Bone, Subaru Owner.
My heart is broken because I have been so Loyal up to this point. So much so that I talked three of my family members into buying Subaru's instead of American makes, which seemed unsafe and poorly constructed.
You can imagine my disgust and disappointment when the Auto Shop at the dealership called and informed me that the coolant "leak" I was experiencing was a "Blown Gasket" which they would be happy to repair for $1,600.00.
After I got over the initial shock what else could I do but have them repair it. I have been driving a rental now for three days and I haven't even called the shop to check on my Subaru.
This car has only 66,000. miles on it!!!!!
Unbelievable. The longer I go, the more disgusted I get to the point where I don't even think I want to pick it up at all.
I am not a sit on my hands kind of person though. I will talk to the customer service dept. at Subaru America and give them the opportunity to set this right. If I get no satisfaction there, I will take a more action oriented Legal approach.
Meanwhile, I am searching out outlets like AutoBeef to place my complaint in public view so others will have better information than I did....
So Sad...I loved my Subbie!
