So, my mum was driving this car when she saw smoke cominf from the hood. She was an hour away from home so she walked to the nearest exit(about 10 mins) and found a mechanic. The car was towed and the mechanic said it was a problem with the radiator. He charged her $700 for workmanship and all which she paid with a credit card. The car was supposedly fixed and she drove it home. Three days later, the same thing happens - smoke from the hood. She called the mechanic and he told her to bring it back. But, she doesn't have another car and she's afraid that the car will stop on the way there (an hr. away) What do we do? He obviously did not diagnose the problem correctly. Is it possible to get some of the money back or hold him responsible for something? Help! My mother lives alone and can't solve this on her own.
