Died again at the light... no power... then after few minutes, I can finally turn key and full power is back. Subaru must have electrical issues. what a pain !!!

Update from Apr 7, 2024 There is a good article on how to wire around the problem if it's the DCM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D46Vz_S8kb0&list=WL&index=85&t=337s&pp=gAQBiAQB

I am leasing this car. I am 75 years old. I live alone as I am a widow. When I need to go, I don't need to have to call someone to get the car started. This happened to me 3 times during the winter months of 2021-2022. WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUTT!!! New batteries don't help. The only thing that works is to start the car EVERY day and let it run for 5 minutes. I don't go out much - have driven 4000 miles in 2 years - and don't have extra money to waste gas starting a car that isn't going anywhere.

When my husband was alive, he had a Subaru Impreza that could sit for a week with no problems! Why should my Impreza be any different? The dealership replaced the battery at my first 6 month oil change (I don't drive enough to need to do it any more frequently) because it had already refused to start several times by then with almost no mileage on it. PLEASE tell me what to do.

I bought car in May 2020. Battery died on 09/04/2020. The service tech told me that Subaru used the same batteries - and they had a class action lawsuit for other models in the legacy. The warranty would just replace battery with the same crap battery. Bought new one.
