Several instances in the past few months, when the back up alarm would sound continuously when the car was in reverse. The most recent time, this lasted for 5 days--every time car was in reverse. Then it stopped. Previously, it happened sporadically and then stopped. It was disconcerting at first because it supposedly alerted to imminent danger, but there was NO danger or obstacle behind the car. The sound of it blaring also made it difficult to hear the additional alarm chirping that something was about to pass behind the car. It was a distraction as well as annoying. As mentioned, it has been a recurring problem. Previously, I owned a 2018 Subaru Legacy 'anniversary edition' which was a TOTAL disaster with the infotainment system. In the end, I traded it in 2019 for a 'deal' the dealership offered on a new 2019 Legacy. Now there are similar problems! The backup alarm has not been reported or fixed at the dealership---I didn't realize others have had or are having the same problem.
