Took the car to the dealer because there was a sound in the front of the car when accelerating and decelerating. The noise was loud enough to concern me. The dealer repairman said the sound was coming from the transmission, and that there is no fix, it would have to be replaced. The cost of replacement he quoted to be $9,000. I just finished paying off the car and expected to get at least 3 more years of no car payments. Now I have no choice but to buy a new car -- pretty ticked off! All the Subaru ads claim that 90% of Subaru's are still on the road after 10 years. I guess I'm the 10%.
