The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Legacy. The contact stated that the sunroof metal drain tubes were clogged causing water to drain inside the cabin of the vehicle. Due to the failure, there was condensation on the windshield which reduced driver visibility while driving. The contact cleaned the windshield both manually and by activating the windshield defogger. The vehicle was taken to bay ridge Subaru (1819 cropsey avenue, brooklyn, NY 11214, (718)232-1900) to have the sunroof drain tubes cleaned which was still pending. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 755.
The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Legacy. While driving 55 mph, a loud pop noise was heard. The contact continued driving as he thought a rock struck the windshield. There were no warning indicators illuminated. Upon arriving home and exiting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the sun roof had shattered, but was still intact. The vehicle was taken to Subaru calgary (1100 meridian rd ne, calgary, ab T2A 2N9, Canada, (855) 910-6109), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The sun roof was replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
