This is the same CVT Torque Converter / Valve Body issue that has been documented several times over and a reason why they extended the warranty in 2017. Car shudders and hesitates when in a low "gear" from complete stops. I had the valve body replaced 2 weeks ago as it went out and was not told of the bigger issue that may be present. Car is now out of warranty and is not worth the repairs. Considering the danger the stalling causes this should have been classified as a recall. Shame to see Subaru do something so underhanded.

hesitation for up to 6 seconds whet gas pedal depressed

I am stopped at a red light, and when it turns green, I step on the gas and there is no reaction. The car is not stalled, because I see the tac reading 750 RPMS. After about 5 to 7 seconds, the car takes off. Cars in back of me are beeping their horns. This becomes very dangerous when making a left turn. The car rolls into the lane with oncoming traffic and and cars are jamming on their breaks to avoid me. I have had the car back to the Dealer twice. The first time I only had a couple of thousand miles on the car. I did not happen too often so when the Dealer couldn't find anything wrong, I chalked it up to a new car that needed to be broken in. I now have over 10000 miles on the car and the problem seems to be getting worse. When I bring it into the Dealer, it never fails. I am afraid to drive this car. the Dealer says they never heard of this problem, however searching the Internet, I see that I am not alone.
