The contact owns a Continental extreme contact tire, size: 205/55R16. The contact stated that the driver of the vehicle was traveling approximately 50 mph when the front passenger's side tire sustained a blow out. The contact also discovered a blister on the sidewall of the rear passenger's side tire. The manufacturer was not contacted in reference to the defect. The failure mileage of the tire was 155. The vehicle failure mileage was 135,904.
I had a blowout on the freeway. Purchased replacement tire and drove 313 miles on this brand new tire and it developed a bubble and had to be replaced again.
While driving approximately 65 mph the left rear tire blew out. The driver managed to pull the vehicle to side of the road. The tire manufacturer was contacted. The tire will be replaced ( big O size 18570R14).
Tire failed under highway speed for no apparent reason. The tire did explode. The tire dealer inspected the other three tires while still on the vehicle, and found no apparent defects. (dot number: Obt2pfb tiresize: P205/55R16)
Left front tire blew out on highway at speed of 75 mph on a 85 degree day. Outside sidewall blew and completely split approx. 2" up from bottom of tire. Had inflated all tires to 36lbs. Load was 3 passengers + luggage. Load est. 700lbs max... pictures available & still have tires. Replaced all 4 with michelins. Subaru and Firestone have been contacted via E-mail with detailed description of incident. Looks like Firestone has discontinued this tire as it's not listed as available on their web site. The tire is tubeless. Traveling at an estimated 50 mph the tire side wall separated from the tread. If I lost a front tire I would have had an accident. (dot number: 8M15794-7 tiresize: P22560R16)
Right front tire was pulling car to the right. Dealer also said to keep tires inflated 5psi above manufacturer's specifications. Car shakes at 55mph in warm weather but does not occur in colder weather. (dot number: BM19359-1 tiresize: P225/60R16)
