- Summary
- This Service Information bulletin announces a procedure change regarding installation of the body plugs used to close the tie-down chain access holes in the vehicle underbody. Previously, these body plugs were placed in the glove box during vehicle assembly and installed by Retailers as part of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) procedure. Recently, the use of ?soft? tie-down straps for vehicle securement during transport has replaced the tie-down chains (no longer a SOA-accepted securement method) used previously. For this reason, the access hole body plugs are now installed during vehicle assembly.
