The front headlights have been on recall for some time now. When I last contacted the dealership they said they wouldn't fulfill the repair and also said that they would no longer be making parts for the car and may not ever fix the headlights but I waited to see if that wasn't the case. You can check the date the recall was first made officially compared to today to see the timeline.

I have received two letters over the past six months, telling me that my 2019 Subaru Impreza has been recalled for faulty headlamps. When I contact my local Subaru dealer, SC, I have three times now been told that the part for the required repair is "not available." I feel as if I am driving a vehicle that is dangerous to me and to others. Can you tell me when the required parts will be available for the needed repair?

Both front headlights provide very little visibility and do not shine far enough down the road to be safe at high speeds, especially in the mountains/low light areas. Have been waiting on a remedy from Subaru since being notified of the recall in October 2022.
The front headlamps on this vehicle are not bright enough and it is very hard to see when driving in areas that do not have street lights. Additionally, when it is raining hard, there are lots of puddles on the floor, making it even harder to see when there are obstructions or potholes in the road. I worry about getting into an accident because of low visibility caused by the defective headlamps. I called my local Subaru dealership today (2/22/23) and I asked whether I could fix the problem and then get reimbursed. I was advised not to do that and to let Subaru handle the issue. However, it has been over 5 months since this recall notice was sent out and there still hasn't been any remedy or even an explanation as to why the remedy is taking so long, or when a remedy can even be expected. Being that this is a safety recall that can cause serious accidents on the road, I need your assistance in urging Subaru to take this more seriously and provide a remedy to this ASAP.
Electrical issue affecting the headlights, radio, clock, gauges. Headlights constantly flicker/dimming, also causes the bulbs to burn out rapidly. Radio constantly losing power Clock/miles left in tank display resets occasionally The the speedometer and tachometer display loses power dropping all the needles to 0 for a second before popping back. These issues got worse after the last recall was done
The contact owns a 2019 Subaru Impreza. While driving various speeds, the headlights dimmed as the vehicle slowed down. When the vehicle came to a complete stop, the headlights brightened and operated normally. The contact took the vehicle to stuckey Subaru (500 broad St, hollidaysburg, pa 16648, (814) 695-9862), but they were unable to duplicate the failure and deemed the matter to be a normal function. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they were aware of the matter; however, they did not have a resolution and the vehicle was not included in a recall. The contact was provided case number: 1-50768087045. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,600.
