Purchased a new 2019 Subaru Impreza hatchback Base car has Bluetooth headunit with backup camera and StarLink. I have three phones in my house. A Galaxy s9, a Galaxy s6, and an iPhone 6s. All on the latest software. As shown in the video and photos the Bluetooth will connect and then disconnect. The only way to get the headunit to respond after it freaks out is to factory reset the entire headunit. I've had the vehicle in now over 5 times to Subaru. "We cannot duplicate the issue" is there resolution. I finally took a video to show them hey this is really happening and here is when and how please fix it. They have done:. Software updates, firmware update, factory reset Vehicle, factory reset headunit and finally replaced the entire head unit with a brand new one. The issue still continues to happen. They finally today 04/01/2019 had me come in and demonstrate the issue not only in my vehicle but on one of their inventory vehicles. The same issue occurs regardless of vehicle
I have reached out to Subaru of America and filled a claim to do something under the lemon law that IL has. I just received a call back from Subaru of America and their resolution was. "Use the cable not Bluetooth and Android auto play/apple carplay. I explained to the rep that though it is a "quick patch" it's not a actual fix given that I have Three phones in my vehicle often at once and having to switch from my apple cable to my micro C cable and back again is a safety hazard when trying to drive. The rep stated that the headunit isn't smart enough to support switching songs or multitask from one APP to the next as in "listening to YouTube, take a phone call, end phone call, switch back to YouTube: head unit freaks out." I am seeking a resolution from Subaru that will not cost me anything and that hopefully won't end up with me having to do something under the lemon law.
The issue occurs regardless of how many phones are connected what app I am using for music etc. To try to isolate the issue I have been only pairing one phone at a time and using speaker phone on my s6.

I went to pick up the vehicle from Subaru to try using the cable. I got a brand new Galaxy s9 cable to try in my Impreza. Sitting in the dealership parking lot I tested the Android Auto Play app. Same issues are occurring. I spoke with the GM of the dealership and he said to leave the vehicle again take the loaner.
